N.V. Ployez-Jacquemart Brut Champagne Blend
Champagne Blend: 750ml
Burghound, January 2010
A mildly yeasty and very fresh nose of lemon, soft floral notes and a hint of pain grillé introduces crisp and moderately effervescent flavors that are crisp and tangy if not particularly complex or long. Still, this is attractive in its fashion and for my taste, I would be drinking it now for its freshness even though it will be capable of rewarding some cellar time if desired.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, December 2009
The NV Brut is a firm, crisp Champagne laced with perfumed, floral fruit. The wine reveals excellent nuance and lovely overall balance. Perhaps because of its recent disgorgement, the NV Brut comes across as needing another 6-12 months on the cork for all of the elements to come together. Disgorged: February, 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015. -Antonio Galloni

Light yellow with a strong bead. Fresh lemon and orange aromas are complemented by smoky lees and toasted nuts. Pliant, gently creamy citrus and pear flavors are underscored by tangy minerality, which adds lift and cut. A hint of herbs comes up on the nicely focused, spicy finish.

Lithe and silvery, showing light toast, pencil shaving and grapefruit notes backed by a firm structure. It's well balanced, with moderate length. Drink now. 500 cases imported. -BS
