Equally keyed on fruit and yeast and smelling of sweet cream and cherries, this very bright and graceful effort follows suit on the palate with lively, nicely composed, moderately complex flavors that steer to the lighter end of the Rosé spectrum. It shows nary a hint of the finishing astringency that its genre often predicts, and it will drink as well on its own as with foods.

Even better, the Non-Vintage Mirabelle Brut Rose (58% Chardonnay and 42% Pinot Noir) exhibits a light to medium pink color as well as abundant aromas of kir, medium body, good vibrancy and a crisp, zesty, dry finish. These cuvees are meant to be drunk upon release as there is no point in aging them. -Robert Parker

A lovely sparkling wine, from the pretty color of pink copper to the delicately yeasty aroma and rich, sweet flavors of strawberries, limes and toast. It's a little scoury, but the price is right. The blend is just about even between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Expressive aromas of cherry and spicy vanilla lead to festive raspberry and apple flavors, which finish on a dry, minerally note. Drink now through 2013. -TF
