Gorgeous color, with a clear garnet core that fades gently into a copper rim. The nose is dominated by intense black tea leaf, currant, juicy red cherry, cinnamon and tobacco. More tertiary notes come out on the palate, with flavors of dried orange peel, strawberry, cedar, and red licorice supported by a very pure and luxurious texture. Carrying through with a lengthy finish, this is a beautifully evolved and graceful right bank red that is at a great place in its life-cycle. Tasted from magnum.

About Winery

Situated on the St Martin de Mazerat plateau, immediately to the west of the old town, Beau-Séjour Bécot lies in the very heart of the Saint-Emilion appellation area. Since Gallo-Roman times, the site has been devoted to wine growing.  Château Beau-Séjour Bécot is today a substantial 16.6-hectare (41-acre) holding on a perfectly uniform terroir. Michel Bécot retired in 1985, turning over the management of the
Château to his two sons Gérard and Dominique.
