This is an extraordinary house that seems to have been particularly successful with its vintage port since 1977.The 1980 is very, very good and certainly better than what this house produced in 1975 and 1970. It should mature relatively fast and be ready to drink by 1992.

A forgotten wine that has always been outstanding. Firm and tight, with raspberry and allspice character. Full-bodied and sweet, with a long, long finish. Approachable now.--Dow vertical. Best from 2002 through 2008. –JS
