Smooth, ripe and complex, with a pretty array of spicy currant, black cherry, anise, sage and cedary oak flavors. Rich and concentrated. Most of the tannin has softened quite enjoyably.--1987 California Cabernet horizontal. Drink now through 2002. 4,500 cases made. (JL)

The initial style of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon fruit with lots of oak aroma and flavor has evolved to a lighter Bordeaux-style blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc) with subtle oak complexity.
