About Winery

Heitz Wine Cellars can be found in the eastern hills of St. Helena in a place known as "Spring Valley" to locals. In 1964, Joe and Alice Heitz purchased 160 acres of ranch and winery that became the culmination of their life's work. They produce three remarkable wines that have become the connoisseurs favorite and coveted commodities: Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, and Bella Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon. Their Martha's Vineyard Cabernet was highlighted by Wine Spectator as one of the top 12 wines of the 20th century. The Heitz label has become synonymous with grace and elegance in the wine industry and has donned bottles of extraordinary fine wines for more than 40 years.
