Bright medium ruby. Reticent but vibrant aromas of redcurrant, licorice and spicy oak, lifted by a floral topnote. Juicy, intense, fruit-driven flavors of cassis, redcurrant and plum. Shows very good density and weight but this is still youthfully unevolved and in need of several years of additional bottle aging. Fairly tannic and tight on the finish; really grips the palate. Classy wine.
