...it can be drunk now or cellared for 12-15 years. Where can you find another New World Cabernet Sauvignon this good for the price? Its saturated black purple color offers up gorgeous notes of sweet, jammy cassis with subtle, smoky wood in the background. The wine exhibits terrific ripeness, an unctuous, full-bodied texture, superb fruit, and a long, lusty finish. This in-your-face, hedonistic, fruit-bomb should become more civilized and delineated as it ages. Moreover, the oak is complementary rather than blatant. Bravo!

Elderton Wines is a small, family-owned winery that is located in the
heart of Australia's Barossa Valley. Their vineyard is 72 acres
located on the floor of the Barossa Valley which produces the highest
quality fruit vintage after vintage. The Shiraz block sits at 104 years
old and the Cabernet Sauvignon block is a ripe 64 years old. Elderton
is regarded as one of the most illustrious producers of Australian
Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
