The 1998 Pinot Noir Estate is essentially a cuvee culled from the single vineyard wines and from the youngest vines of the Rochioli estate. It is a beautiful, strawberry/cherry-scented wine with a dark ruby color, lively, vibrant fruit, medium to full body, excellent concentration , sweet tannin, and enough acidity to provide delineation. It could easily pass for a premier cru Beaune. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
