Deep ruby-red. Deep, dark aromas of blueberry, violet, flowers, coffee and mocha. Superrich and chocolatey, with lovely sweetness, but currently quite closed. Has more stuffing for its tannins than the Chambolle premier cru. Finishes firm but ripe and long. 93(+?) points

Lovely, and seriously structured. Full-bodied and rich, with some wonderfully soft tannins and ripe fruit. Shows plum, prune and blackberries, with some mineral creeping in on the finish. Needs cellaring so the oak can integrate with the wine. Best from 2003 through 2010. -PM
