The brawny, serious, opaque purple-colored 1999 Giusti dei Notre is a barrique-aged, unfined, unfiltered blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by awesome aromas of weedy tobacco, espresso, smoke, chocolate, black currants, and blackberries. Dense, full-bodied, thick, viscous, rich, and pure, it requires another 2-3 years of cellaring, and should last for 15+. Sadly, production is a measly 800 cases. About Winery

Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti bought this land in Suvereto in 1984 and planted new species of grapes (cabernet sauvignon and merlot). Later they planted another 7 hectares.
1985 was the first year of wine-making but it was possible to bottle and sell wine only in 1992.
The annual production is currently of about 40.000 bottles.
The farm is 22 hectare wide, 18 hectares are planted with winery (12 of them are in production).
The wineries lie at 100 metres above sea level, on a clayey, silty soil.
The biggest news at Tua Rita is the return of original consulting oenologist Luca D'Attoma, who oversaw much of the planting and made the first vintages.
