The dark ruby-colored 1999 Musigny has lovely aromas of violets, blueberries, and candied cherries. Medium-bodied and deep, it is filled with red fruits, stones, pomegranates, and strawberries. Loads of supple, ripe tannins can be discerned in its fresh, long, pure finish. Drink it between 2001 and 2009.

Saturated ruby-red, the darkest of these '99s. Knockout nose of black raspberry, violet, minerals and spices; complex and vibrant. Large-scaled but fine, with lovely verve and lift. A wine with great energy and spine, but also silkier than the other '99s at this address. Tannins are ripe and quite fine. Offers a real whiplash of a finish, with subtle notes of berries and gunflint saturating the palate.
