about this wine:
According to the legend, the Lord of Montrachet shared his land out between his two sons. One had become a Chevalier during the crusades and the other, illegitimate, is supposed to have given his name to Bātard- Montrachet. Chevalier- Montrachet forms a horizontal strip at the top of the upper part of Montrachet and is made up of four terraces with different subsoils, giving four different facets to this exceptional Grand Cru. During the 19th century, we acquired several vineyards and have now become the main owner and the only producer with vineyards on all four terraces.

Subtle nose combines liquid stone, citrus skin, white flowers and charred oak. At once generous and penetrating, with focused grapefruit, pineapple and stone flavors framed by harmonious fruity acidity. Very long, ripe, firm finish features repeating notes of citrus skin and stone.

Clean and refined, so subtle it passes your palate with stealth power. The oak, fruit, acidity are well-integrated in this caressing wine. But give it a lot of time to expres itself. Best from 2005 through 2015. 1,000 cases made. -PM
