95 points,

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, December 2005

The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve boasts a saturated ruby/purple color in addition to a sumptuous nose of graphite, blackberries, creme de cassis, cedar, and subtle toasty oak. Full-bodied with a seamless integration of acidity, wood, and tannin, this long, rich, impressively-endowed, stunning Cabernet will be even better with 2-3 years of bottle age, and should age for two decades.

93 points,

Stephen Tanzer's IWC, June 2006

Good saturated ruby-red. Perfumed aromas of currant, black cherry, espresso, milk chocolate and flowers; a real essence of Napa Valley cabernet. Enters the palate like silk, then builds slowly toward the back, offering a lovely light touch and plenty of inner-mouth aromatic character. Finishes with substantial but very fine tannins that reach the incisors, and lingering perfume.

About Winery

In 1966, Robert Mondavi built the first major winery in Napa Valley since prohibition: Robert Mondavi Winery. With the release of the Robert Mondavi Winery's Cabernet Sauvignon in the late 60's the world's eyes were opened to the potential of the Napa Valley. The historic Paris tasting in 1976, where two former winemakers of the Robert Mondavi Winery won first prize, further supported this revelation.

In 1979, Robert Mondavi established the Woodbridge Winery near his childhood home of Lodi, California and took the next step in a journey that would re-invent wine culture in America. Through tireless winemaking innovation, an uncompromising eye for quality and unshakable faith in California's vineyards, Robert Mondavi realized his vision of creating a collection of the most recognized and best-loved wines in the world.
