Showing much better from bottle than it did from cask, this garagiste property has turned out a wine of great intensity with huge up-front appeal (jammy black cherries, espresso roast, and chocolate fudge-like aromas soar from the glass), a massive, viscous, full-bodied palate, tremendous purity, and an extravagantly rich style. It represents St.-Emilion’s answer to the famed Pomerol, Le Pin. Consume it over the next decade.
