Color is dark at the core, fading towards the rim. On the nose, black currant and blueberry mingle with loamy earth and a touch of cedary oak. The aromas carry through onto the palate with clean, bright medium-bodied flavors. A bit tight and structured, a good decant should help open it up for early drinking or cellar for up to a decade.

A stunning sleeper of the vintage, this blend of 39% Petit Verdot, 34% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon possesses an inky/blue/purple color in addition to sweet aromas of blueberries, cherries, and licorice, medium to full-bodied flavors, an excellent texture, and sweet tannin. It is an intriguing effort that should age nicely for a decade.

42% merlot, 30% petit verdot and 28% cabernet sauvignon; just the second vintage for this Bordeaux Superieur) Vibrant aromas of violet, licorice and leather. Sweet, dense and rather muscular, with good black fruit flavors. Finishes with substantial tannic backbone.
