Professional Reviews

90 points, Stephen Tanzer
March 2007
Deep, bright red. Black cherry, licorice, minerals and roasted oak on the nose. Suave, minerally and detailed, with firm structure and an almost medicinal austerity. Finishes with substantial chewy tannins and a note of blackberry. In a tight phase today: I would expect this to put on weight as it ages.

March 2008
Although this is dominated at this young stage by wood, you can get through the firm, spicy character to the dark, heady fruit flavors. It has concealed power and intensity of ripe, elegant fruit. It needs at least 10 years to mature.

May 2007
Pure and focused, with a firm spine of tannins. Cherry and mineral flavors are locked in. This will take some time to integrate and show its true potential. Fine length. Best from 2009 through 2018. 100 cases imported.
