An expressive and complex nose of honeysuckle, pain grillé, vanilla and spiced pear accompanies the rich, full and sweet flavors that possess excellent mid-palate fat, indeed enough that the overall impression is a wine of opulence yet importantly, this never loses its focus or fine sense of balance.

Reticent nose hints at peach, anise and nuts. Then pure, precise and quite dry, with complex flavors of spices, flowers, nut oil and minerals. Very bright, nervy wine with noteworthy energy. But this really calls for some cellaring.

About the Winery Girardin, Vincent
Domaine Vincent Girardin can trace its roots back to the 17th century.
It was originally located in Santenay in the Cote de Beaune, but in
2002 Girardin moved the winery to Meursault. He buys fruit from
old-vine parcels up and down the Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune.
Vincent Girardin has been hailed as the "golden boy" by Wine Spectator
and has produced some of the finest wines coming from Burgundy, which
has been noted vintage after vintage by wine critic Robert Parker.br
