The light gold-colored, full-bodied, intense 2004 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch (2,700 cases) displays evolved fruit notes in the nose (waxy peaches, honeysuckle, and wood). The showiest, most flamboyant of these 2004s, it requires consumption over the next 3-4 years.

Bright gold. Intense, sharply focused citrus and pear skin aromas are underscored by vivid minerality. Precise, elegant and expressive on the palate, with concentrated lemon and lime flavors and a delicate hint of smoky minerality. This fat-free wine has Chablis-like qualities, finishing with excellent lift and thrust.

About the Winery Kistler
Kistler Vineyards is a small family-owned winery based in the Russian
River Valley. They specialize in the production of Burgundian-style
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It was founded in 1978 by the Kistler
family. The first vintage in 1979 produced around 3000 cases and the
winery has slowly been growing towards its goal level of production,
25,000 cases per annum. The source their grapes from some of the
finest Napa and Sonoma County vineyards and they produce their own
estate-grown and produced wines as well.
