Scented aromas of peach, orange and spice. Very firm, even a bit youthfully strict, with flavors of liquid stone and spices. As juicy and sweet as this is, it's distinctly rigorous today and in need of five or six years of aging. Finishes long and aromatic, with exhilarating notes of pineapple and grapefruit. In comparison to this bottle, the '05 Perrieres is easier to taste today, but this is more classic. Latour kept this wine in barrel until the bottling as he felt it needed more time to develop; his other top crus spent their final months of elevage in cuvee.
