Good full red. Knockout nose of redcurrant, violet, flint and underbrush. Then sweet and expansive on the palate, with rich red cherry and underbrush flavors. Features a distinctly creamier mouthfeel than the entry-level '05 Brunello, and finishes with mouthcoating, fine tannins and good length. From a selection of the best grapes, this will age very well. The best wine I have ever tried from La Vigna at a similar young stage of development.

Here's a dark and brooding Brunello Riserva with modern tones of succulent fruit backed by sophisticated notes of spice, toast, chocolate and cola. This is definitely a bigger style with a bold and determined approach that also offers elegance and harmony.

Displays loads of milk chocolate, with ripe plum and blueberry. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a powerful finish. So rich and opulent. A superb Brunello. This cantina keeps getting better and better. Best after 2012. 190 cases made. -JS
