Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, January 2005
The Cabernet Sauvignon is aged 18 to 24 months in French oak and is100% varietal. The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Andolsen possesses more black raspberry, blueberry, and currant fruit, less earthy notes, but a chunky, full-bodied style with supple tannins and more beef and muscle than the 2003. With all these wines, it must seem like Ed Sbragia must have left Beringer to start his own operation, but heā_Ts still at Beringer, and they would be smart to keep him there given his undeniable talents. Heā_Ts been a fixture at Beringer for decades, and it speaks highly of the Beringer brain trust to allow him the flexibility to have his own label. He features mostly Chardonnay and Cabernet, but there are a couple Zinfandels and one Merlot in the portfolio. (Not yet released) Tel. (866) 222-4342
