91 points,

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, June 2009

The Mas Blanc 2005 Collioure les Junquets offers the sort of illusive and intriguing aromatic complexity that is typical for this cuvee of unusual composition. A kelp and sea-spray like tang joins notes of plum, violets, forest floor-like humus, and aromatic green growing things. Fleshier and richer than this year's Clos du Moulin - with undertones of salted caramel and a polished texture - this preserves an admirable, engaging sense of sheer primary, refreshing black fruit juiciness, along with fruit pit bitterness, persistently floral inner-mouth perfume, and a positively cleansing and refreshing finish. It should pay dividends in the cellar for 4-6 years.

92 points,

Wine Spectator, July 2008

Dense and rich, dripping with dark plum, dark cherry and chocolate flavors. Notes of roast beef and spice bring plenty of grip to the finish. Impressive for the appellation. Drink now through 2014. 60 cases imported. -KM

About Winery

Domaine du Mas Blanc is located in the commune of Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Mediterranean coast in the Roussillon wine-growing region in France. Dr. Gaston Parcé married into a wine-growing family in 1910, considered to be the founding year for the estate. His son Dr. André Parcé cemented the good reputation for the wines of this estate. He and his son, Jean-Michel, are among the most highly esteemed winemakers in all of France.Parce, an energetic and enthusiastic promoter of the under-rated wines made from grapes grown on the terraced, hillside vineyards of Collioure and Banyuls, produces several cuvees of dry red wines from the Collioure appellation, and a number of cuvees of France's answer to vintage port, the sweet, late-harvested Banyuls that must be tasted to be believed.
