Dark ruby core with great intensity, indicative of the '05 vintage. Classic Left Bank Bordeaux character of blackberry, forest floor and fresh turned earth, complimented with underlying clay soil and minerals. The palate is seamless from the fresh black cherry attack, to the mouthwatering juicy blackberry, all framed in a kiss of French oak. With its manicured tannins, the polished finish completes the package. This is a beautifully crafted claret from a marquee vintage.

A superb value for Jean-Hubert Delon, the 2005 Potensac has a deep ruby/purple color, a classic bouquet of sweet red and black fruits, as well as gorgeous texture and purity. Medium-bodied and concentrated, this wine behaves like a Medoc cru classe. Moreover, it will age very well for 10-15 years. Very impressive!

Medium red. Very ripe, sweet aromas of plum, mocha and bitter chocolate. Unusually sweet and supple for this wine, with lovely depth and volume to its cassis and chocolate flavors. Very St. Estephe in style. Finishes powerful, sweet and long, with the unusually fine tannins arriving late. An outstanding performance for this chateau.

Barrel sample. This wine has fine tannins that are relatively soft, with good acidity and dryness. It's not powerful, but with its fine black currant flavor and ripe fruit it shows great style . R.V.
