These Qualified Designation of Origin wines are produced in the interior of Catalonia, in the region that gives its name to the designation of origin: PRIORAT. The Priorat is an area enclosed by a rugged ring of mountains which form a fascinating landscape where the grapevines grow on terraces and steep slopes. The slate soil in this area, also known as "llicorella", gives the wines a great mineral character.
