70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc. Thick dark purple. Medium to full-bodied, it posseses dark black cherry aromas along with sweet vanilla and new oak. Soft entry onto the palate. The tannins stay soft on the mid-palate. Chewy tannins on the finish, partly covering the fruit.

"Location: The Clos L'Eglise estate covers just over 14 acres of vineyard and is located in the northwest section of Pomerol on the gentle rise which culminates a kilometer away at Chateau Petrus.
Classification: Unclassified. Notable estate with quality equivalent of a Grand Bourgeois.
History: The estate was brought together in the nineteenth century and is one of the numerous chateaux in Pomerol with the word "eglise" in its name. Today the wine is represented by the famous Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix firm."
About the Wine
"Intensely fruity, vibrant wine with significant depth and structure...Traditional vinification and aging in oak barrels for 14 months... Approximately 2,300 cases are produced per annum...60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec. Average age of vines is 25 years..."
