Bright, pale yellow. Tight nose hints at celery seed. Fat, dense and broad, with plump flavors of lemon drop, white flowers and spices. This shows less dimension today than the Clos de la Truffiere but there's excellent density, extract and length here.

A plump style, with a creamy texture offsetting the lively structure. This sets the stage for flavors of vanilla custard, toasted brioche and a hint of clove. Has a nice juicy finish. Drink now through 2016. 400 cases imported.

About Winery

Domaine Vincent Girardin can trace its roots back to the 17th century.  It was originally located in Santenay in the Cote de Beaune, but in 2002 Vincent moved the winery to Meursault.  Vincent buys fruit from old-vine parcels up and down the Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune. Vincent Girardin has been hailed as the "golden boy" by Wine Spectator and has produced some of the finest wines coming from Burgundy, which has been noted vintage after vintage by wine critic Robert Parker.
