The backward, well-defined 2005 Chardonnay Point Rouge reveals a light gold color along with terrific richness, phenomenal acidity, stunning concentration, abundant amounts of honeyed pear, quince, lemon butter, and marmalade-like fruit, and a firm edge. It should drink well for a decade.
