About the Winery Williams Selyem
The Allen Pinot Noir Vineyard surrounds our winemaking facility. This Russian
River Valley hillside vineyard was planted in the early 1970’s, and produces low
yields of exceptional quality Pinot Noir. Fog-cooled evenings and moderately
warm daytime temperatures make the Russian River region ideal for growing
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.
About the Wine
For this wine, Bob selected hand-made French oak barrels, with medium-plus
toast. The wine was aged for 10 months in Francois Freres, Troncais oak barrels,
36% new oak, 36% one-year-old, 29% two-year-old. 13.9% Alcohol, 0.60g/100ml TA,
3.55 pH
