Almost ready now. I enjoy the dried fruits that verge on prunes, with flowers and light earth. Medium body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Better after 2012.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, February 2010
The 2006 Barolo is an impeccable, beautiful wine that comes across like village-level Burgundy with Nebbiolo tannins. The fruit shows lovely inner perfume, while the balance is simply gorgeous throughout. In 2006 70% of the fruit for the Barolo is from vineyards in Serralunga, while the rest is from Castiglione. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2016. -AG
Stephen Tanzer's IWC, December 2009
Good full red. Ripe plum and redcurrant aromas lifted by spices. The palate offers a good balance of density and sweetness, with firm supporting structure. Finishes with ripe tannins and an impression of power.

Bright with cherry and floral aromas and flavors, this red also reveals spice and mineral elements. Its tannins are dense and dusty, yet a sweetness prevails as this plays out on the cranberry-tinged finish. Best from 2013 through 2030. 1,250 cases made. -BS
