Deep purple core with red to the rim. The nose opens with roasted cherry, dark chocolate and wet rock, giving way to cassis and black tea as well as a lovely floral note of violet or lavender. The palate is focused with expressions of red currant, black pepper and truffle. Medium-bodied, fresh acidity enlivens the midpalate and subtle, ripe tannins complete the finish.
