The 2006 Fleur Cardinale has a brilliant deep ruby color. On the nose incredibly fragrant and expressive, very floral with hints of rose, violet, and lavender. Medium to full bodied this wine is very silky and well balanced especially at this young age. Bright fruit notes of raspberry and black cherry meld seamlessly with earth and herbal notes including sage and underbrush. A very pleasant Bordeaux to drink now with some time in a decanter, or hold for 2-5 years.

A blend of 75% Merlot and the balance Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, this up-and-coming estate has fashioned an outstanding 2006. While not as prodigious as the 2005, it is an exceptional effort boasting a dense purple hue as well as sweet aromas of blueberries, dark raspberries, licorice, camphor, and pain grille. Full-bodied, powerful, and layered with impressive purity, texture, and length, this unfined and unfiltered wine should be at its finest between 2013-2022.

($37) Full ruby-red. High-pitched aromas of cassis, blackberry, violet, licorice and menthol. Intense, pure and sharply delineated, with a juicy, lively quality to the black fruit, violet and menthol flavors. Surprisingly dense and ripe for such a penetrating wine. Finishes with chewy, ripe tannins and lovely aromatic persistence. I'd give this three or four years in the cellar.

Thick, dark red core with a bright pink rim. Very fresh berry fruit and candy cherry aromas are surrounded by light floral hints of rose petal. Dense on the palate, yet the tannins are starting to integrate well on the palate. A very lush, juicy wine with light hints of sage on the finish. Beautiful.
