One of the superstars of this appellation, the 2006 Fontenil (the home estate of Dany and Michel Rolland) exhibits a dense ruby/purple color followed by noteworthy aromas of crushed rocks, flowers, black raspberries, and cherries. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and nicely textured with sweet tannin in the finish, it should drink handsomely for 12-15 years.
