Black cherry and strawberry compote dominate the nose, framed by subtle undertones of forest floor and damp earth. Quite dense on the palate, this offers loads of dark red fruit and grippy tannins that provide the wine with excellent structure, and the fruit lingers through to a long, dry finish. Thanks to the bright acidity, this wine is still vibrant and should continue to evolve nicely for 5+ years.
