Inky ruby. Precise red and dark berry aromas are complicated by violet, five-spice powder, smoked meat and minerals. Strikingly lithe and precise, with deep but vibrant raspberry, blueberry and Asian spice flavors. Silky tannins give the wine shape and carry through the long, sappy finish. Wonderfully suave syrah, clocking in at a moderate 13.5% alcohol. 94 points
