A very ripe and distinguished nose of spiced yellow fruit compote introduces textured, pure and classy medium full flavors that coat the palate with extract that completely buffers the firm acid spine that does an impeccable job of retaining focus despite all the richness on the long, pure and refined finish. From old vines, averaging 55 years. Ripe and tropical notes of pineapple and honeydew melon with a strong underlying citrus note. Very nice balance and purity on the palate. Light peach, Meyer lemon and a good mineral streak with a long, lingering finish.

The domaine of Etienne Sauzet is made up of 26 acres, much of it in the heart of the premier crus vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet.

Gerard Boudot, owner and winemaker of Domaine Sauzet, is seeking "maximum finesse and an individual expression of the climat."  M. Boudot, who married the granddaughter of the late Etienne Sauzet, runs the domaine and has modernized and improved the vinification, making the wines of this domaine among the most sought-after white wines of Burgundy.
