Medium ruby fading to a garnet rim. The nose has restrained aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, cedar, spice and eucalyptus. Spicy oak opens palate but is balanced by ample black fruit, layered spices, and bright acidity. The mid-palate carries an attractive weight and a note of stony minerality just before fine-grained tannins draw this wine to its pleasant and lengthy finish. Still youthful with plenty of ageing potential.
