2006 Talbot Bordeaux Blend
Bordeaux Blend: 375ml
about this wine:
Its firm, well-rounded tannins offer a smoothness ever present over the years. Being highly concentrated, it can be left to age for many years even though it is tempting to drink it young to enjoy the fullness of its fruity aromas and silken finish.

This fruity, soft, somewhat commercial, mid-weight St.-Julien offers sweet black cherry and currant fruit intermixed with subtle herb, spice box, and smoke characteristics. While not particularly concentrated, it is a round, aromatic, soft, sensual 2006 to enjoy over the next 10-13 years.

Medium ruby-red. Wild aromas of cassis, minerals, leather and meat. Supple and sweet but with modest grip and cut to the redcurrant and leather flavors. The tannins build, leaving the finish a bit tough. 88 points

This displays blackberry, sweet tobacco and green coffee aromas. Full-bodied, with soft tannins and a caressing texture. This has a really lovely mouthfeel for the vintage. Best after 2014. 35,750 cases made. -JS
