95 points,

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2009

The compelling 2006 Cote Rotie La Landonne is sensational. Gamy black cherry and black currant fruit interwoven with notions of graphite, licorice, and scorched earth aromas jump from the glass of this dense, full-bodied, rich, pure 2006. This is a stunning wine with terrific minerality as well as laser-like focus. It, too, will benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring, and should last for two decades.

Stephen Tanzer's IWC, February 2009

Ruby-red. Deep cassis and kirsch aromas are complicated by smoked meat, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and violet. A bright note of black pepper emerges with air and carries onto the palate, adding vivacity to the deep dark fruit and bitter chocolate flavors. Finishes strong, with bright mineral tang and a hint of blood orange.

93 points,

Wine Spectator, November 2009

Shows a rich core of plum and red currant fruit, backed by notes of espresso, iron and red licorice. The structure is nicely rounded and integrated, with the red fruit and iron notes lingering through the medium-weight finish. A sleek, modern style, with plenty of terroir. Best from 2010 through 2018. -JM

About Winery

Another great negociant with significant vineyard holdings, and at the top of their game, is undeniably Delas, owned by the Louis Roederer/Deutz Champagne firm. Since they acquired Delas well over a decade ago, this firm has been under the management of Burgundian Jacques Grange, who has done an outstanding job producing a sensational array of wines. ~ Robert Parker Dec 2011
