Reviews of 2006 Eyrie Pinot Noir
92 points, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate October 2008 The 2006 Pinot Noir Estate was aged entirely in seasoned oak. It is light ruby-colored with a lovely bouquet of cherry and wild strawberry. This leads to a velvety textured, elegant wine with savory red fruits, spice, excellent concentration and a fruit-filled finish. The wine’s impeccable balance may allow for further development in the bottle but it can be enjoyed now. Achieving this level of elegance in a vintage like 2006 is a singular accomplishment.

John S. January 2009 If you love Pinot Noir this is a wine for you. This is elegant and classy, definitely not over extracted and well made. This is not a blockbuster by any means and that is why I like it. On the nose I get notes of Watermelon, Pomegranite, Sage, and Menthol. I really like this wine.

About 2006 Eyrie Pinot Noir
About the Winery Eyrie
Eyrie Vineyards was founded in 1966 by David and Diana Lett, planting their vines in the Red Hills of Dundee. All wines are estate-grown and produced. From their founding, Eyrie has made its wines entirely without the use of insecticides, herbicides or systemic fungicides. All vines are on their own roots and are never irrigated.
"A visit to The Eyrie Vineyards where Jason Lett presides is like getting
a history lesson in how wine used to be made (and some might say still
should be made). From the grape growing through the elevage, this is an
artisanal, non-interventionist, unique operation that continues to turn
out some of the most fascinating wines on the planet. Knowing Eyrie
Pinot Noir’s propensity for longevity, my drinking windows are likely to
seem conservative a decade from now." Jay Miller, Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate
