Bright medium yellow. Ripe peach and honey on the nose, with exotic apricot and marzipan nuances that almost suggest a bit of botrytis. Fat, full, superripe and sweet, with a dried fruit suggestion in the mouth. An opulent middle palate leads to a long finish that's slightly blurred by alcoholic warmth. I'd want to consume this over the next five years, as there would probably be more to lose than to gain by waiting even longer.

Full-bodied and powerful, with lemon cream, pineapple, mineral and spice aromas and flavors that align with the creamy texture before the structure emerges and freshens the palate. Outstanding, yet there's not quite the length for this to really sing. Best from 2010 through 2020. 200 cases imported. –BS

About the Winery Girardin, Vincent
Domaine Vincent Girardin can trace its roots back to the 17th century.
It was originally located in Santenay in the Cote de Beaune, but in
2002 Girardin moved the winery to Meursault. He buys fruit from
old-vine parcels up and down the Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune.
Vincent Girardin has been hailed as the "golden boy" by Wine Spectator
and has produced some of the finest wines coming from Burgundy, which
has been noted vintage after vintage by wine critic Robert Parker.br
