A bit of toast frames impressively complex and layered orchard and mildly exotic fruit aromas that merge into seductively textured, suave and obviously well muscled flavors that possess excellent mid-palate fat and plenty of dry extract on the opulent, refined, mouth coating and palate staining finish that goes on and on. I particularly like the focus here and while there is a bit of pain grillé that resurfaces on the finish, the concentration is such that this should be quickly absorbed.

Green-tinged color. Spicy aromas of grapefruit, stone, spices and pepper, plus an exotic suggestion of mango. Dense, sappy and very young, with strong acidity enlivening the citrus and spice flavors. Energetic, chewy wine, built to age and in need of patience. This manages to be both fine-grained and cool. But is it better than the Truffiere?
