Brilliant red color. Pungent red berry and cherry aromas are complicated by fresh rose, violet and zesty minerals. Deeper blackcurrant and kirsch on the palate, picking up seductive spiciness with air. Dark fruit flavors linger impressively on the sappy finish. There's underlying power here that suggests that this wine will repay cellaring.
