2007 Latour a Pomerol Bordeaux Blend
Bordeaux Blend: 750ml

Dark, opaque purple core with slight pink towards the rim. The nose opens to crushed rocks and rose petals followed by cassis and mocha. Medium to medium-full on the palate, additional elements of earthy forest floor and roasted espresso come into play. There is plenty of depth here, with vibrant acidity and silky tannins leading to a supple finish. I recommend decanting for 30 minutes or so to enjoy this delicious Pomerol now, or cellar for the next 10 to 15 years

A solid, muscular wine with lots of robust herb, damp earth, truffle, black cherry, and black currant characteristics, this meaty 2007 reveals an unusual (for the vintage) tannic structure. It will benefit from 1-2 years of bottle age, and should keep for 10-15 years. - Robert Parker

Offers black olive and dark fruits on the nose. Subtle yet rich. Full-bodied, with lovely silky tannins that stay in balance with the fruit. Refined and delicious. Best after 2013. 2,085 cases made.

Dark sweet fruit on the nose here, a slightly meaty style, this is impressive. On the palate it possesses a lovely depth, a fine weight, and some beautifully coated tannins. There is a lot of substance here, but also an approachable and balanced composition, with fine acidity. A gentle finish, but overall this is a very attractive wine, and a real step up within the Moueix firmament in this vintage.
