Here the nose is mildly animale in character with fresh wild red raspberry and pinot fruit aromas that are also notably earthy in character that are followed by rich, round, serious and solidly constructed full-bodied flavors that possess fine depth and length but on the fruit-driven side. I would describe this as being very pretty but not typical.

Palate-staining blueberry and elderberry in Liger-Belair's 2007 Corton Renardes are accompanied by cooling herbal and red meat suggestions and subtle chalkiness. Polished in texture and energetic in finish, this exhibits a sort of refreshment and transparency to nuance not often encountered at present in red Burgundies of its vintage, and I would happily plan to follow it for a decade.

Good medium red. Superripe nose hints at raspberry and meat. Pliant and fine-grained but still a bit youthfully folded in on itself, with a smoky, saline quality currently dominating primary fruits. Finishes brisk and pure, leaving the salivary glands quivering.
