Medium ruby red. Fresh aromas of sweet cherry, red berry, cardamom, spice and leather, with a touch of chocolate and floral notes. The palate is very pleasing with excellent levels of tannin and flavors that just linger and linger over a streak of mouthwatering acidity. This is the definition of delicious! Drinking well now, but will continue to evolve for at least 10+ years.

The 2007 Chianti Classico Riserva Petresco (100% Sangiovese) flows with red berries, crushed flowers, spices and licorice. The Petresco shows lovely textural finesse in its explosive fruit, with gorgeous inner perfume and fabulous overall balance. This is a terrific effort from Le Cinciole and consulting oenologist Stefano Chioccioli. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027. -AG

About Winery

The estate has an extension of 30 hectares at an altitude between 400 and 450 mts and it is located next to the town of Panzano in Chianti, in the heart of Chianti Classico area. Vineyards and olive groves are grown on the property.
The name "Le Cinciole" indicates a locality that has been so called for centuries and apparently it is the vulgarization of "Le terre di Quintius" (lands of Quintius). Personally run by its vintners-owners Valeria Vigaṇ and Luca Orsini, the farm includes at present thirteen hectares of vineyards, of which eleven are actually in production, and five hectares of olive trees with 1000 trees.
