About Winery

Jacques Montagne's grandparents were already making dry table wine from the family's choice properties in Maury. In Montagne's words, "to grow wine is to do permanent research," and the results of his diligence in that regard is memorably reflected in his best wines. He continues to deliver a large part of his crop to the quite quality-conscious Maury cooperative, but since the turn of the latest century this one-time partner of Jean-Luc Thunevin has been vinifying a small portion under his own label. That said, he offers his own second wine from Grenache, Carignan, and young vines of Syrah.
