A notably fresh and ripe red cherry nose displays background notes of cranberry and earth that continues onto the delicious and silky-textured flavors that offer a beguiling mouth feel, all wrapped in a lingering finish that dances across the palate. If there is a niggle it's that the structure has not yet quite fully integrated but this is a matter of a few more months in bottle. Lovely stuff fashioned in an understated style that should age well over the medium-term.

The 2007 Pinot Noir Kanzler Vineyard (from Dijon clone 667) has nice floral and black cherry notes, with hints of raspberry, forest floor, and some roasted herbs. The wine is spicy, well-made, medium to full-bodied, and looks impressive already. The grapes here were 100% destemmed.
