Brilliant ruby red color intensity. Classic Napa fruit on the nose is perfumed with cherry blossom, loamy soil and that famous Rutherford Dust, only found off Hwy. 29 in Napa. Big attack of black cherry with some terroir expression from extended barrel aging (34 months total). Medium to full bodied, this expands nicely on the mid-palate, with its fleshy, ultra-ripe fruit, and is balanced nicely with firm acidity and tannin for a clean, precise finish. Serve with fowl and wild game. This reserve cabernet will drink well now through 2018.
