Dark, opaque center. Juicy aromas of cherry and ripe raspberries are evident at first but more powerful, concentrated scents of blackberry jam and notes of fresh spice and earth appear with some air. This wine reminds you what merlot should be-a flavorful, fruit-centered red of pleasant, juicy fruit, not too heavy and with restrained use of oak. Great solo, but well suited for the table as well. Very complex for its' price-point and an excellent value.
